Mission EDC, Workforce Solutions Host IT Job Fair 

Last week, the Mission EDC, Workforce Solutions, and CyberMission teamed up to host an IT job fair, held at the Center for Education and Economic Development (CEED). Over a dozen employers and approximately 70 job candidates flooded the halls and classrooms of the CEED as they shook hands, shared resumes, and networked with peers from the tech community. 

“The transformation the RGV tech community has undergone over the past five years has been exciting to witness,” said Daniel Rivera, Director of Marketing and Programs at the Mission EDC. “Events like yesterday’s job fair serve as an important stepping stone in our collective efforts to grow and promote a strong and highly skilled RGV tech workforce.”

 

The Rio Grande Valley’s IT industry is growing by the day, and the Mission EDC is proud to take part in initiatives that provide opportunities for the IT professionals of our region. This event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Workforce Solutions and other local organizations that continue to invest in the RGV community’s growing talent.
