Meade sworn in as TSTC board regent

MISSION, TEXAS – November 16, 2017– Mission EDC CEO Alex Meade was sworn in Wednesday to the Texas State Technical College System Board of Regents and will serve through 2021 on the nine-member board.

Meade will help provide state-wide perspective and leadership to the 10-campus TSTC system which is headquartered in Waco and has a campus located in Harlingen. The board meets quarterly to provide leadership and enact policies for the successful management and operation of the campuses.

While he has served on several state boards, Meade said being appointed by Governor Gregg Abbott to this prestigious post was an honor and looks forward to getting to work alongside his fellow board members and the students, faculty and leaders of TSTC.

“TSTC is an excellent educational institution system that provides value to the State of Texas with its innovative, technical education and quality, well-trained graduates,” said Meade. “I’ve watched over the years TSTC meet the challenges of today’s Texas workforce, and consider it a privilege to be able to serve on the board of such a well-respected organization. I am very thankful to Governor Abbott’s leadership, and I appreciate him naming me a regent.”

Meade said he looked forward to learning more about TSTC, visiting campuses around the state and working with the team of regents.
